Mr Fluffy Head

I finally finished my latest project.....

Hairy Lee

He's very acrobatic, and has been enjoying swinging around in the house plants:

In case you were wondering, Hairy Lee is very closely related to the Monkey-Martian breed epitomised by Wilmington; he's an Orangu-martian. Or a Smash-utan. Or something.

We are family

Hairy Lee is my first foray into the world of knitting with 'fun' yarns, which I was initially apprehensive about. However, using the fluffy stuff was less challenging than I had thought it might be, and knitting him was ok - although sewing him up was tricky.

Anyway anyway, that's all I have for you tonight. Time to go and cast on something new, I think - and try not to get too stressed out by Spooks, which the NBM will insist on making me watch... I'm just not cut out for high-octane drama...

Hi Hairy Lee! Is that as in that other hairy Bristolian Justin LEE Collins?

Obviously your one is MUCH more attractive! And I'm with you on the sewing up of hairy creations .... tricky, very tricky.

I look forward to seeing lots of adventures with HL and the Wilmster from the VC camp :)

WOW, is he fun! You never did say, will you be selling this pattern for those of us that are pattern-writing challenged? (looking at you with BIG pitiful eyes) Please! He really is adorable. I'm sure W. is pleased to have a primate more his own size and kind. Nice job!!

Ooh, a relative! (From one of the cuter branches of the family.) You can tell from the photos that he has a big personality.

Hmm! Has this monkey never heard of Veet. Possibly Monkee Maker could take him for a waxing!

Just kidding - I think he looks fab.

See, now, it took me several seconds of viewing and wondering why you had knitted A.L.F. (did you have this programme in UK?).

However on reflection I have to say he is as cute J.L.C.

hairy lee and not HAIRY POTTER?! ...b/c he looks pretty magical to me...and clearly his mama IS a knitting WIZARD! :)

(again i will chime in with my avid willingness to buy, beg, or borrow said smash-martian-utan knitting pattern should it ever be made available to the monkeh-loving knitting community!)
