100th Post Giveaway

Can you help this monkey?

Waldorf

Waldorf is one of the few known members of the rare (and bizarre) Monkey-Martian species. Sadly, he is currently in urgent need of re-homing, in order to protect him from great peril in his current location:

Could you provide a good home for Waldorf? Waldorf likes cups of tea, bread-and-butter pudding, and listening to the radio. He dislikes sharp scissors, doing the washing up, and beards. He describes his natural habitat as "sitting on the sofa", but he is also very fond of being taken on day trips in nice handbags.

If you think you could help, please act now: leave a comment on this post by 6:00pm on Sunday 3rd February, and you could save Waldorf from the bearded monster in his life.

Thank you.

The small print:

1) Waldorf isn't at all fussy about where he goes to live, so comments are welcomed from all and sundry. If you've stopped by and haven't said hello before, now's the perfect time!

2) One comment will be drawn at random on Sunday to determine the winner.

3) Please come back to find out if you've been lumbered with him.

from deep inside the maw of that giant 'munkeh' I can just make out the words of a poor benighted creature begging for help and rescue.

We are just that house, plus we keep up a steady stream of nice handbags just for fun days out!

I would love to help 'that' monkey!!

I think Waldorf and me could possibly be soul mates from your description (although I've never been in a day trip in anyone's handbag as far as I recall)

:) <----- doesn't that look just like the cheeky fella?!

Dear me...Waldorf does seems to be in quite a predicament.

Feel free to send him my way as my home is thankfully free of frighteningly large bearded monkeys. ; )

Love your blog, by the way.

I would love to have Waldorf come to my house...he would be an only monkey for now. I am in the process of knitting my own primate. So Waldorf would be the "big" brother.

Waldorf can sit on my sofa any time and I have just enough room in my handbag for him. Well done for 100 posts.

I have been bribed to enter on behalf of Pete the Naughty Space Boy, he only arrived here yesterday but it seems he is missing all things Martian...therefore Waldorf needs to come here and befriend Pete.
And Me.
Thanks!
PS Pete doesn't really know what a blog is but he reckons if you have done 100 of them then you must be pretty good at it and people must like it!! :-) xxx

Me me memememe! Waldorf needs to come and live with me!

I can promise him a nice comfy sofa, plenty of radio to listen to - he's also welcome to join my son listening to Postman Pat, The Hobbit and various Roald Dahl CDs as the CD player is opposite the sofa.

I can guarantee no beards (except on the nitted nomes) or washing up. I'm just not sure about the handbag thing - I don't do handbags. Will a rucksack do?

Hya. I came across you via Michelle at Stash basket. I saw a great programme on TV last night about how vey intelligent monkeys are. My heart goes out to Waldorf. Do you think he would like to sit in my sunny conservatory in South West England on the Sonerset/Dorset/Devon border? Every luxury provided!I am a handbag nut! I don't have a blog, does that matter? All the best from Merry x

Dear Waldorf,
Try and fix the prize draw so you can come and live here with me. You would love it. Bread and butter pudding at least once a week, using home-made bread and home-made marmalade. Cake, rice pudding, treacle tart, sherry trifle, strawberry mousse - anything you desire. Lovely big comfy sofa to sit on - you can even watch the telly if you want. Have got lots of friends who would love to meet you - monkees, rabbits, chameleons. Free access to the chocolate cupboard (yes we have a cupboard of the divine brown stuff!). We're all very friendly over here. Don't go to Mrs Monkee Maker - I'm sure she's ok, but I would worry about you near 007.

IF i were to win waldorf...i would make him a waldorf salad...AND take him to the waldorf-astoria!

(i know it's a random draw, but still, i want to prove that i am a worthy foster parent!)

Question - is the bearded monster really a knitted Brian Blessed? I see a similarity.

"Gordon's alive?" (From Flash Gordon the movie, in case you're not as sad as I am.)

Linda said...

OMG! I will rescue him, he is cute!

First time visitor, but he is really something!

I live right down the road from Waldorf Maryland (US), how awesome would that be? And soon to go to sunny Florida, where Waldorf could lounge on the beach and sip margaritas with me.
Wonderful monkeys btw

I will love and treasure and cherish the poor little mite...not like Monkee Maker who will torture him, and poke him with knitting needles and chop sticks. His rightful home is here, with me ;)

Hi I promise to give Waldorf a safe and happy home here in Oz with Mel.

I would love Waldorf to come and live with me, I have no monkey's living here and I'm feeling a little bit left out. Besides I think he's really cute : )

This seventy year old, former first grade teacher, skinny, (85 pounds) grandma to six beautiful grandchildren need Waldorf, as my favorite salad is apple salad as it is known in INdiana, but as Waldorf salad in other states of the United States.

would LOVE to give the little guy a home.

even have pelnty of bags for him to travel in.

and I'm sure he would LOVE to "help" create in the studio with me!!

Mandy F said...

He'll have to get hypnotized to overcome his dislike of beards, but beyond that, I think he'll be very happy in our monkey, monkee, martian and vampire filled home.

Tracy x said...

hmmmmm
i could offer the little guy a Highland home, but i honestly fear for his safety.....
we love beards
hate, hate, hate bread and butter pudding
and have become owners of a very large puppy....
heck
if Waldorf thinks he's hard enough - chuck my name in the hat!

I think i posted my comment in the wrong place,i'ts not often i'm right, but i'm wrong again.
Perhaps Waldorf would like to try a coffee cup instead of a teacup.
